History & Ownership

In 1973, Bob Morris had a dream. He wanted to bring gymnastics to the Delmarva Peninsula. From there, Delmarva Gymnastic Academy was born! Under the direction of Bob Morris and CF Hastings, DGA thrived as the most successful gymnastics facility on the Eastern Shore. When it came time to retire from ownership, Bob sold the gym to Janet Lagowski and Terri Mueller who had been employees of his for nearly 15 years. In March 2009, Beach Bounders Gymnastics was born! Bob continued to work for Janet and Terri at Beach Bounders until his health prevented him from continuing. We will always hold Bob Morris and Delmarva Gymnastic Academy dear to our hearts as part of our history.

With a staff providing well over 400 years competitive gymnastics experience, Beach Bounders offers Pre School, School Age, and tumbling classes for boys and girls. We also have Junior Olympic and Xcel Women’s Competitive Teams for those athletes ready for the additional commitment.

In addition, we offer various Open Gym times through the week, Birthday Parties, School’s Out Camps and Summer Camps!

Ownership

Terri Mueller
Miss Terri has been involved in gymnastics since the early 80’s. She purchased 100% of Beach Bounders from her business partner Janet Lagowski in 2019.  She has been a club and collegiate gymnast, a former Level 10/NCAA rated judge and has coached through Level 10. In addition, she has given back by volunteering for the Maryland USA Gymnastics State Committee as a representative and a former state chair person.  She currently serves as the Chairperson of the Board for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Eastern Shore, is a member of the Parent Advisory Committee for Parkside High School and the treasurer for the Friends of Rams Football organization. She also holds the following certifications: USAG Meet Director, USAG Safety Course, Head’s Up Concussion Course, SafeSport, USAG Junior Olympic Team Coach, USAG Recreational Director and USAG Business Executive among many others.

However, the best part of Miss Terri’s job is seeing kids grow up into great adults with the help of the lessons they learn through gymnastics. Owning her own gym has been a dream of hers since she was in elementary school and she is thrilled to be able to live her dream and work with the children in the Eastern Shore area.  Miss Terri lives in Salisbury with her two teenage boys and two dogs.
